Proof of the Pythagoras Theorem.

My math teacher showed us this in 8th grade and I thought I’d seen god

shit math guys. never thought any would make it to my blog

but thIS

This isn’t proof the Pythagorean theorem is true. They could adjust the water containers to however big or small they like.

It is a proof of it because those containers are squares, squares where the sides are the same length as the lengths of the triangle. As long as the three containers have the same depth then it works, just like in this .gif proving that a²+b²=c²

I love math :D

Woo! Doing hw at 2AM because any other hour is too conventional. :)

I made this powerpoint for this week’s lesson - Regional/Iconic American Foods. I went back through and replaced all the text with my student’s reactions.

Run with your legs to be fast,
Run with your mind to be faster,
Run with you heart to be unstopable.

"I hate the way you talk to me,

and the way you cut your hair.

I hate the way you drive my car,

I hate it when you stare.

I hate your big dumb combat boots

and the way you read my mind.

I hate you so much it makes me sick,

it even makes me rhyme.

I hate the way you’re always right,

I hate it when you lie.

I hate it when you make me laugh,

even worse when you make me cry.

I hate it when you’re not around,

and the fact that you didn’t call.

But mostly I hate the way I don’t hate you,

not even close…

not even a little bit…

not even at all. “

Just registered for sophomore year classes.

Almost done with freshman year in college.

Running a half marathon in 4 days.

Damn, life comes at you fast. o.o

"Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I’ll be right beside you dear
Louder, louder
And we’ll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can’t raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
It makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyes
I nearly do.”

So it’s almost 3AM and I have an exam tomorrow [just had one a couple hours ago too…. 10PM exam fun times, lol]
Let me just say how god-sent high school math and physics and econ —and whatever other AP’s you took in hs but didn’t AP out of for college— notes are while studying for college exams.

You live your life like you’re not in control.
Like you’re playing a role.
